In 2010, Trichelle completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Nipissing University and in 2015, a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba. She is certified in providing Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT),the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), trigger point therapy, and Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) including certifications in Cognitive and Advanced FCEs. She is a licensed occupational therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT), and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Trichelle has a varied and diverse clinical OT background in the areas of cognitive, psychosocial and physical assessment and rehabilitation. Examples of her clientele include adults and older adults involved in severe motor vehicle accidents or medical malpractice injuries, military veterans, members of the Canadian Forces, first responders, clients with chronic pain conditions, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries, neurodivergent clients, and clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, and clients with severe and persistent mental illness.
Trichelle has many years of OT experience. She specializes in mental health and working with clients with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to help them meet their functional and meaningful goals, including returning to work, by utilizing programs such as the Occupational Therapy Occupational Performance Activation Program (OTOPA). She is also experienced in PE, cognitive and medical-legal functional capacity evaluations, case management, home and equipment assessments, and ergonomic assessments.
