About the Instructor:
From 2017 to 2024, Tiffanie completed an undergrad in Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a partial after education degree while working. During this self-exploration time, Tiffanie developed a strong interest in mental health. She worked in crisis management and family services with youth and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, and also worked with high risk and at-risk populations in the community and group home settings for 5 years. While initially deliberating between law and medicine, Tiffanie instead pursued a degree that would allow her to work in both mental health and neurology. In 2004, Tiffanie returned to the University of Alberta to complete a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Ten years later In 2014, she returned to the University of Alberta again and completed a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences in Occupational Therapy. At the University of Alberta, she also partially completed a graduate level certificate in pain management.

Green Tree Rehabilitation specializes in a wide range of assessments, including functional capacity evaluations, alongside clinical occupational therapy services such as neurorehabilitation, mental health programming like prolonged exposure therapy, and return-to-work programs such as the Behavioral Activation Program and work and cognitive hardening services.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, Tiffanie lectures and teaches clinical functional capacity evaluation skills and other aspects of occupational therapy at the University of Alberta. Green Tree Rehabilitation also serves as a teaching facility for occupational therapy clinical placements. Beyond their academic roles, Tiffanie conducts private workshops and is frequently invited to speak at conferences and professional events, addressing healthcare and legal professionals on various topics.
With nearly 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Tiffanie has developed expertise in vocational, neurological, orthopedic, mental health, and community rehabilitation. Her practice includes conducting functional capacity evaluations and cost-of-care assessments across Western Canada. Collaborating with legal firms, social industries, and insurance companies nationwide, Tiffanie has provided expert opinions on functional and vocational capacity. She has been qualified as an expert in occupational therapy by the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Provincial Court of Alberta (Family and Youth Division).
